Charlie Hoppes is most famous for his Red Mountain winery, Fidelitas, and one could argue that he knows the vineyards there as well as anyone. In putting together this blend, we gave him 100% free reign to build the best wine he could. A classic Bordeaux blend from various choice vineyards on Red Mountain with a heavy dose of Cabernet, Merlot and Cab Franc, it is built with the cellar in mind, but with some time to open up a bit, it is gorgeous now as well. Big and rich with those Red Mountain notes of coffee, mocha, black currant, pie cherry and tufts of sage in the nose with more black fruits, candied violets, bakers chocolate and espresso in the mouth.

No.11 2008 Klipsun Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

108 Cases Produced

Release Date: June 2015

Release Price: $34.99

Our good buddy Morgan Lee of Covington Cellars and Two Vintners built this stunning wine with the intent of using it for the Covington Cellars brand. Due to the massive size, incredible depth and overt complexity, the decision was made to let it rest in the bottle for a few years until the time was just right. That time is now, but with the amazing 2010 that the winery is currently (2015) selling, the thought of going backwards and releasing the 2008  seemed counter productive, so we agreed to buy it all for this program.

Stunning density with layers of black fruit, baking chocolate, black tea and espresso. Even after being open a week, the flavors are still blossoming. 80% Klipsun Cab, 5% Klipsun Klipsun Merlot, 10%Kiona Cabernet Franc, 5% Kiona Petit Verdot, 30 months in 85% new French Oak.
